The festive season calls for just one thing…a GIANT sharing trifle👀 try my high protein twist on a classic chocolate trifle and enjoy with the entire family🍫 enjoy for just 182 calories & 20g protein per serving!!
Per Serving:
Serves 16
50g plain flour
40g cocoa powder
3g bicarbonate of soda
Pinch of rock salt
10g maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
40g Grenade Milk Chocolate Protein Spread (melted)
200g Greek yoghurt
1 medium egg
100ml milk (alternatively almond milk but any works)
1.5kg 0% Greek yoghurt
600g Chocolate protein pudding
Reduced-fat squirty cream
Remaining protein bar chunks
Preheat oven to 170°C and line a baking dish.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, protein powder, cocoa powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt.
Add yoghurt, melted protein spread, maple syrup, vanilla, egg and milk. Mix to form a smooth batter.
Pour into the lined dish and bake for 20 minutes.
Allow to cool completely (around 30 minutes).
In a bowl, mix half of the Greek yoghurt with the 25g protein powder until smooth.
Set aside.
Crumble ¼ of the brownies into the base of a trifle bowl.
Top with ¼ of your chopped protein bar.
Spoon over 200g chocolate pudding.
Add half of the chocolate protein yoghurt mixture.
Add another layer of brownies and protein bar pieces.
Add a layer of plain Greek yoghurt.
Repeat until all components are used up.
Finish with reduced-fat whipped cream and any remaining bar chunks.
Store in the fridge until serving.
