Key Responsibilities
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
o Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
o Collaborate with different departments to gather relevant data for budgeting purposes.
o Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
-Data Interpretation:
o Interpret financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
o Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the financial health of the company.
Reporting:
o Prepare regular financial reports for management and stakeholders.
o Create ad-hoc reports as needed to support decision-making.
Cost Analysis:
o Analyse costs and expenses to identify areas for cost reduction or process improvement.
o Evaluate the financial impact of operational decisions.
Financial Modelling:
o Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and analysis.
o Conduct scenario analysis to assess potential outcomes and risks.
Market and Industry Research:
o Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions.
o Provide insights on the financial implications of external factors affecting the business.
Compliance and Regulation:
o Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
o Stay up to date on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Communication:
o Present financial information and analysis to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
o Collaborate with various departments to explain financial data and answer queries.
Risk Management:
o Identify and assess financial risks.
o Develop strategies to mitigate financial risks and ensure the financial stability of the organisation.
o Propose and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
Education and Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field is typically required. Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) may be
preferred.
Person Specification
- Combine's technical expertise with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Adaptable, detail oriented, and possessing a problem-solving mindset which will contribute to effective financial analysis and decision-making.
