Grenade and Be Military Fit team up to fight obesity!

Passionate about performance nutrition (obvs!), we’re delighted to announce that we’ve teamed up with Be Military Fit - Europe’s largest outdoor fitness operator and leader in human performance programming – as part of a long-term partnership to improve the nation’s health and mental wellbeing.

Co-owned by former SAS soldier Bear Grylls, we’ll be working to boost the government’s anti-obesity campaign, combining our nutritional know-how with BMF’s outdoor exercise expertise.

The aim? To help those recovering from COVID-19, and to support an ever-growing amount of people looking to Get Shit Done and lead healthier lifestyles!

BMF co-owner and chairman Chris St. George commented, “We must take pressure off our NHS in the months ahead. Hundreds of thousands of people with long-Covid and millions of people who have not yet found the value of exercise need imaginative, accessible and enjoyable exercise programming to boost immune systems and promote wellbeing.

“That is what BMF does best – working with our partners to deliver best-in-class psychological, fitness and nutritional programmes. Grenade is a highly credible partner to support the latter component. Their values and military heritage are perfectly aligned with our own and we look forward to achieving a great deal in the coming year and beyond.”

We’re blushing!

Our co-founder and CEO Alan Barratt added, “Since Grenade’s launch as a sports nutrition and weight management brand over a decade ago, we’ve been passionate about the nation’s physical and mental wellbeing."

“Key to our success has been offering high protein, low sugar alternatives to high sugar confectionery, with our market-leading Carb Killa protein bar originally launched as a direct response to the Public Health England 2015 Sugar Reduction Programme.

“With our products an integral part of the BMF fitness and nutrition programming, now expanding rapidly across parks and outdoor venues in the UK, we can’t wait to pull the pin on this collaboration.”

With BMF’s human performance programme originally devised to improve pass rates of those taking part in army fitness selection tests, those joining will learn everything about nutrition, physical fitness, psychology, health, and wellbeing. What’s more, sessions will be led by their trained experts – many of whom are ex-armed forces – so you’ll be in safe hands!

So, keep your peepers peeled, people – and if you see us in a park near you, don’t be shy and say hello.
