How to Use
There is no right or wrong way when it comes to BCAA supplementation. Depending on your diet (regular intakes of protein throughout the day) Grenade® would recommend taking BCAA 8:1:1 pre and post workout.
Taking 5 capsules 30-40 minutes pre workout. This guarantees sufficient levels of amino acids are in the blood stream to support both energy production and help prevent muscles from going into a catabolic state (muscle breakdown). A further 5 capsules immediately after training when your muscles have the greatest protein requirement, helping to repair and recover.
Research has also shown that solely relying on a high protein meal/shake isn’t sufficient to put significant levels of amino acids into your blood stream. As whole protein sources take time to digest. BCAA 8:1:1 ensures single free form amino acids are put back into the blood stream quickly.

Will BCAAs be beneficial to me if I already eat a lot of protein?
Yes. Ingesting free form amino acids in the form of BCAAs provides different metabolic effects compared to consuming whole protein sources. Similarly, free form BCAAs will be absorbed quicker than whey protein.
Will BCAAs help me if I am dieting?
When in a calorie restricted state BCAAs are a great supplement to take. BCAAs will help preserve muscle mass when dieting.
