Collaborative partnerships that make waves are in our DNA, as are explosively witty puns (Sun of a Beach, anyone?).
So, when we were approached by ‘Who Dares Gyms’ to be their official nutrition partner, and to help them launch the UK’s first fully functional beach gym in Bournemouth, we just couldn’t say no!
Just a month after finishing active duty within the UK’s Special Boat Service, a former Special Forces soldier (who cannot be revealed for safety reasons) has opened a ridiculously cool military-style shoreside gym.
Set in one of the UK’s most unique and picturesque locations, ‘Who Dares Gyms’ has been dubbed ‘the UK’s answer to Venice beach’ and nothing like it has ever come before. It features a range of high-end exercise equipment, spanning free weights, benches, rigs, spinning bikes, and more – everything beginners and pros could want to exercise mind, body and soul this summer.
Now open on Canford Cliffs beach in Bournemouth, Who Dares Gyms will also offer a range of classes for the public. These will range from mindfulness to self-defense, and uniquely, will be led by distinguished Royal Marine officers and elite UK Special Forces.
Who Dares Gyms’ founder commented: “After more than a year of restrictive lockdowns – and endless video calls – it’s clear that for the country to return to good health, people need to better embrace the outdoors, and what better way to reconnect with nature than on Bournemouth’s stunning coastline.”
Ideal if you can’t get away this year, want to get a tan, and have a workout at the same time (!), simply book a sesh at www.whodaresgyms.com. A percentage of the profits will also go to charity, being split between Dorset Children’s Foundation, Rock2Recovery and REORG.
See you there!?
